🇺🇸 US Curriculum Middle School Maths Tuition in The UAE

The middle school math curriculum typically builds upon the foundational concepts learned in elementary school while introducing more complex mathematical ideas. Throughout the middle school math curriculum, there’s a focus on developing mathematical fluency, conceptual understanding, and problem-solving skills to prepare students for more advanced mathematics in high school.

At middle school level, students continue to develop their understanding of numbers, including integers, fractions, decimals, and percentages with a focus on developing fluency and application. Algebraic thinking deepens, with students solving equations, learning about expressions, exponents and the properties of operations.

Students continue to learn about geometry and measurement and data at a deeper level, with a focus on more complex conversions and the understanding of geometric concepts. Ratios and proportional relationships are introduced, with students learning about proportional reasoning and its applications in various real-world contexts.

Students are introduced to functions and function notation, including linear functions and their graphs. They explore the relationship between inputs and outputs and learn to analyse and interpret functions. Problem solving strategies are still a focus, and more complex multi-step problems are introduced; students learn to justify and communicate their reasoning when solving these.
