🇬🇧 British Curriculum KS1 and KS2 English Tuition in The UAE

The Key Stage 1 and 2 English curriculum focuses on developing students’ literacy skills, including reading, writing and speaking and listening. The English curriculum aims to provide a solid foundation in language and literacy skills, fostering a love for reading and enabling effective communication. Literacy skills are essential for effective learning across the whole primary curriculum.

Reading

Key Stage 1 – Students learn phonics, comprehension, and begin to read simple books.

Key Stage 2 – Students continue to improve their reading skills, with a focus on understanding and analysing different types of texts, including fiction and non-fiction.

Across both key stages, students read and explore a range of texts, including classic and contemporary literature, poetry, and plays. They are taught to analyse and discuss these texts in detail.
